India successfully tested BrahMos supersonic cruise missile

• India successfully tested on 21-Mar 2010 a new version of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile that was jointly developed by India and Russia.
• The missile was fired from a moving warship in the Bay of Bengal, India's eastern coast, and successfully hit its target.
• The missile had a vertical lift off from the ship and was then maneuvered to hit the target ship.
